The serious bit

Terms of service

Last updated: 9 October 2026.

1. The agreement

These Terms of Service (the "Terms") are a binding agreement between you and the operator of bunny.directory ("we", "us"), named in full in section 18. They cover the website, the dashboard, the free tools, the badge, the email we send you and the MCP endpoint — everything at bunny.directory (the "Service"). They are also our terms for providing services electronically, and they are free to read, save and print at https://bunny.directory/terms at any time.

Using the Service means accepting these Terms. You accept them expressly when you create an account, and again, by ticking the box at checkout, when you pay. If you do not accept them, stop using the Service. If you are here for a company, you confirm you can bind it, and "you" means that company.

A "consumer" here is a person who buys outside their trade, business or profession. Under Polish law, the rules below on withdrawal also cover a sole trader for whom the purchase is not of a professional nature. Nothing in these Terms takes away a right the law gives a consumer that a contract cannot take away.

2. What bunny.directory is

bunny.directory is a launch directory for startups. You launch a product and it gets a permanent page, listed newest first. We are not a party to anything you buy from a listed product, a listing is not an endorsement, and nothing here is advice about whether a product is safe, lawful, or right for you.

Listings link out. What happens on someone else's site is governed by their terms and their privacy policy.

Editorial control stays with us. We decide what gets published, how it is categorised, where it appears and whether it stays. We may edit a listing's copy, logo, screenshot or category, and we may decline or remove a submission, telling you why (section 4).

3. Accounts

You need an account to launch a product, claim one, or buy anything. You must be at least 16, use a working email address, and give accurate details. You are responsible for your credentials and for what is done through your account — tell us at [email protected] if it is used without your permission.

One account per person. Do not open accounts to get around a removal, a suspension or a limit.

To use the Service you need an internet connection, a current version of a common web browser with JavaScript and cookies turned on, and an email address you can receive mail at. An account is free, and it lasts until you close it or we end it under section 13. Any online service carries risks such as malware, phishing and somebody taking over an account: use a password you use nowhere else, and treat any message asking you for it as not coming from us.

4. Launching a product

When you submit, you confirm that the information is accurate and that you will keep it so; that you own the product, represent it, or are submitting a public product whose details you have not misrepresented; that you hold the rights to every logo, screenshot and word you upload; and that the listing does not break section 7.

Launching is free. A person reads every submission before it is published, normally within 2 working days, and approving it publishes it. Paying does not buy approval: a launch with a Quick pass is read like any other. A published launch can still be edited, recategorised, unpublished or deleted: for inaccuracy, for a dead or parked domain, for a breach of these Terms, or because the product no longer exists. When we turn down, restrict or remove a listing, we tell you why by email, unless the law stops us, and you can reply to ask us to look at it again.

Every published launch links to the product's own site. That link is do-follow in one of two ways, and nofollow until one of them is met.

The badge, on a free launch. A free launch is a trade. We publish and keep a permanent page for your product, and you display our badge, linking back to that page, on a page of your own site. The badge snippet is shown when you submit and in your dashboard. That badge is what makes the listing's link do-follow, and what keeps it that way.

We check for the badge automatically at submission and periodically afterwards. A missing badge never unpublishes the listing; it returns the link to nofollow until the badge is back.

Do not defeat the check. A badge hidden with CSS, served only to our crawler, marked nofollow, or placed on a page hidden from search engines counts as missing.

A Quick pass. Instead of the badge, you can buy a Quick pass for a launch, for a one-time $4.99 (USD), from the submit form or from the listing's page in your dashboard, wherever checkout is open. It buys one thing: the listing's link turns do-follow when Stripe confirms the payment — normally within a minute — and stays do-follow for as long as the listing is published, with no badge to keep up, and we stop checking for the badge. It buys no placement, ranking or position on the site, and it does not speed up the review. It does not buy approval either: the launch is still read by hand, and if we turn it down we refund the payment (section 12). A refund or a chargeback returns the link to the badge rule above.

Either way, the do-follow link is the one from the listing to the product's own site. Links inside a listing's description are nofollow. What a search engine does with any link is up to the search engine (section 14).

6. Prices and payment

What is for sale. One thing. Launching, the badge, claiming a listing and the free tools cost nothing.

WhatPriceWhat you get
Quick pass$4.99 USD, one-timeThe listing's link to your site is do-follow without the badge, from the moment the payment is confirmed (section 5).

Paying. Prices are in US dollars (USD), and the checkout page shows the total, including any tax we have to charge, before you confirm. Payment is taken by Stripe, by card or by another method Stripe offers at checkout. Card details go straight to Stripe, which is certified to PCI DSS Level 1, and never reach our servers. Every purchase is a one-off charge: nothing renews, and no card is kept on file for later charges. A purchase is agreed when Stripe confirms your payment; Stripe then emails a receipt and an invoice to the address you gave at checkout. The charge appears on your card statement as bunny.directory or a close variant of it. If you do not recognise a charge, write to us before you dispute it.

Promotion codes. We sometimes give out promotion codes. A code is entered at checkout and applies to one purchase. It has no cash value, cannot be exchanged, and expires or can be withdrawn as stated where we gave it. A refund of a discounted purchase refunds what you actually paid.

Who can buy. We cannot sell to anyone subject to EU, UN, UK or US sanctions, or in a country or region under comprehensive sanctions, and Stripe may decline a payment for the same reasons.

What is not for sale. Approval, carrots and the order they give, adverts, and what our MCP endpoint returns. A ranking a listing can buy its way into is worth nothing to the people reading it.

7. Prohibited content and conduct

Do not submit, publish, or link to:

  • anything unlawful where you are or where we are, including material infringing copyright, trade marks or privacy;
  • malware, phishing pages, credential harvesters, or tools whose purpose is breaking into systems the user does not own;
  • adult content, gambling, drugs, weapons, or medical and financial claims we cannot check;
  • products built to make non-consensual sexual imagery, deepfakes of real people, or impersonations;
  • an empty domain, a parked page, an affiliate doorway, or a re-skin of another listing dressed as a new product;
  • a name, logo or description that impersonates another product or exists to hijack its search traffic.

And do not:

  • manipulate upvotes, streaks, comments, badges or rankings — with extra accounts, bought engagement, scripts, or paid incentives;
  • comment on or review a product you own or compete with under a name that is not yours;
  • scrape the site in bulk, ignore robots.txt, hammer the API or the MCP endpoint, or republish the directory as your own; or
  • probe, disrupt or attempt to breach the Service, its infrastructure, or another user's account.

Report anything that breaks this section to [email protected] or with the report control on the listing. We look at every report without undue delay and tell the person who sent it what we decided.

8. Claiming a listing

A listing can be claimed, free of charge, by whoever controls the product's domain. We ask for proof of that control, and for more where the proof is weak or the claim is contested. An approved claim transfers management of the listing — not the listing itself, which stays published by us under these Terms. A claim we later find was made in bad faith gets reversed.

9. Free tools

The generators and checklists under /tools are provided as they are, for free, with no promise that their output is correct, complete or fit for anything. Check what they produce before you ship it. We may change or withdraw them at any time.

10. Your content, and ours

You keep ownership of what you submit. You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, reformat, publish and display it on the Service and in our own promotion of the Service — social posts, the newsletter, link previews — for as long as the listing is published and for a reasonable period afterwards in archives and caches. The licence survives deletion only that far.

Everything else — the site, its design, the code, our editorial copy, the badge artwork and the name bunny.directory — is ours. Use the badge only to link back to your own listing, and only in the light or dark variant we provide, unaltered.

11. Automated access and MCP

The MCP endpoint and the public feeds exist for reading the directory. Stay within any published rate limit, do not present the results as your own dataset, and do not use them to rebuild the database in bulk. We may change, limit or withdraw them, and we may block a client that abuses them.

12. Refunds and cancellation

Delivery. A Quick pass is digital and delivered online; nothing is shipped. It is delivered in full when the payment is confirmed and the listing's link turns do-follow, normally within a minute. If that has not happened within a day, write to us.

Refunds. We refund a Quick pass in full:

  • when we turn the launch down;
  • when we have not decided on the launch within five working days of the payment and you ask us to;
  • for a duplicate or mistaken charge.

If we end a Quick pass early and you were not at fault, we refund it. We do not refund one whose listing we removed for breaching section 7, or because a search engine did not value the link as you hoped. Ask at [email protected], from or naming the email address you paid with. Refunds go back to the payment method you used, at no cost to you, normally within 14 days of our agreeing; your bank can take a few more days to show it. We would rather refund than argue.

Withdrawal, for consumers. A consumer can withdraw from a purchase within 14 days of making it, without giving a reason, by telling us clearly before the 14 days are up — by email to [email protected] or by post to the address in section 18. You can use the model form at the end of these Terms, but you do not have to. We refund what you paid within 14 days of receiving your notice, to the payment method you used, at no cost to you.

At checkout you ask us to deliver straight away and confirm you know that the right to withdraw ends once the purchase is delivered in full. A Quick pass is delivered in full when its link turns do-follow, so the right to withdraw ends then. If you withdraw before that, you get everything back.

Cancellation. Nothing renews, so there is nothing to cancel.

Chargebacks. A chargeback raised without asking us first ends the purchase and may end the listing. Where a payment is reversed we return the link to nofollow unless the badge is up, and may suspend the account until it is settled.

Complaints

If something you bought does not work as described, or the Service does not work as these Terms say, write to [email protected] with your account's email address, what happened, and what you would like us to do. We answer every complaint by email within 14 days of receiving it; a consumer's complaint we have not answered in that time counts as accepted. A consumer whose purchase does not conform to the contract also has the remedies the law gives — having it put right, a price reduction, or ending the contract — and nothing here limits them.

13. Suspension and termination

You can close your account at any time by emailing us from its address. We may suspend or remove a listing, an account, or access to the Service where these Terms are broken, where the law requires it, or where carrying on would expose us or our users to harm. When we do, we tell you why, unless the law stops us. If we end a Quick pass early and you were not at fault, we refund it.

Sections 10, 14, 15, 16 and 19 survive termination.

14. No warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, that listings are accurate or current, that a listed product does what it claims, or that a launch or a post will produce traffic, sign-ups, sales or a search ranking. Nothing we say about SEO value is a promise — nobody controls what a search engine decides. None of this limits a consumer's rights where what they paid for does not conform to the contract (section 12).

15. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, nor for lost profit, revenue, data, goodwill or business opportunity. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is capped at the greater of what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or 50 USD.

Nothing here excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law — death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or the mandatory consumer law of the country you live in.

16. Indemnity

You will indemnify us against claims, losses and reasonable legal costs arising from content you submitted, your use of the Service, or your breach of these Terms — except where they arise from our own act or omission.

17. Changes

We may change these Terms. The date at the top says when they last changed. Material changes are announced by email or on the site at least 14 days before they take effect, and if you do not accept one, you can close your account before then. Carrying on after that is acceptance.

We may also change the Service: features, layout, and prices for future purchases. A change to these Terms or to a price never applies to a purchase already made.

18. Who operates this

The Service is operated by Piotr Boroń, conducting unregistered business activity under Article 5 of the Polish Entrepreneurs' Law Act of 6 March 2018, at al. Solidarności 68/121, 00-240 Warsaw, Poland.

Contact: [email protected], in English or Polish. Write there with questions, complaints, refund requests and withdrawals. It is also our single point of contact for users and for authorities under the EU Digital Services Act.

19. Law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the law of Poland and the courts of Poland have exclusive jurisdiction — except that a consumer keeps the protection of the mandatory law of the country they live in and may sue in their own courts.

If a complaint does not settle a dispute, a consumer can also use an out-of-court route. In Poland that includes mediation and the permanent consumer arbitration courts at the voivodeship inspectorates of the Trade Inspection, and the help of a municipal or district consumer ombudsman; the register of approved bodies is at polubowne.uokik.gov.pl. A consumer elsewhere in the EU can ask the European Consumer Centre in their country. Taking part is voluntary for both sides, and when we turn a complaint down we say whether we agree to it.

If part of these Terms is unenforceable, the rest stands. Not enforcing something once does not waive it. These Terms, with the Privacy Policy, are the whole agreement between us.
